2018 Reserve Chardonnay
Rich and textured, this skin-fermented Chardonnay bursts with aromas of tangerine, apricot, and marzipan.
Although not deeply colored, this chardonnay belongs to a class of wines that are not considered red or white, but orange. This means that white grapes were fermented in the same manner that is used to produce red wines. The fruit for this wine was crushed into open fermentation vessels and allowed to ferment on the skins for 14 days prior to pressing; the fermentations were punched down to maintain skin contact three times a day throughout this process. Following pressing, the wine underwent a full Malolactic fermentation and was aged in contact with oak staves.
