Walking in a Winter Wineryland

Join Montezuma Winery and the Montezuma Audubon Center for the 7th annual Walking in a Winter Wineryland on Saturday, February 1 from 10:30am-2:30pm. Enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, a live bird presentation and a winemaker’s luncheon.

The day starts at Montezuma Winery where you will meet with a guide from the Audubon Center who will take you on a nature hike on snowshoes through a portion of the refuge for bird watching and tracking animals.

When you return to the winery you can warm up with mulled wine or hot chocolate followed by a winemaker’s luncheon paired with Montezuma Winery wines.  Roast home-made marshmallows on an open fire and make your own smores for dessert.  Following lunch will be a live birds of prey presentation by bird rehabilitator, Jean Soprano of Kindred Kingdom. Guests will learn about some of the area’s native birds of prey and their habitat and the importance of wildlife conservation and management.

Participants are invited to bring their own snowshoes or rentals are available on a first come first serve basis (snowshoes are not required for hiking). The cost for adults is $30/person without snowshoes or $35/person with snowshoe rental. Kids under 12 are $17 without snowshoes or $20 with snowshoe rental.  A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Montezuma Audubon Center. Cayuga Wine Trail Event: "Say Cheeeese"
Feb. 8&9, 2014 Hours: 10-5


Receive a wine glass, a wine charm from each winery and recipe cards as you travel along the trail experiencing fine wines and creamy cheese recipes.

The name says it all “Say Cheeeese” so we’re again hosting a special “Say Cheeeese” photo contest so make sure to take all your favorite photos over the weekend and enter them via facebook or email. The winner will take home a Specialty Gift Basket from our local Creameries and Wineries.
Participants are eligible to win one of our Grand Prizes by turning in your ticket at the last winery you attend.

Tickets can also be purchases through our 800# 800-684-5217 or at any area Wegmans six weeks before the event.

We recommend that If you are part of BUS GROUP,  you place all ticket orders on the same order to ensure you will all receive the same starting point.  If you purchased your ticket separately, please notify the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail office at 1-800-684-5217 so we can verify you have the same starting point.  It is recommended that all bus groups contact the Cayuga Wine Trail to plan an itinerary to ensure we continue to have a smooth flow of customers throughout the day.  We reserve the right to limit the number of large groups purchasing tickets to our events.  If you are interested in booking a large group please contact us at 1-800-684-5217 or email at info@cayugawinetrail.com.

Cayuga Wine Trail Event: Mardi Gras
March 1-2, 2014 10-5 pm


Experience Mardi Gras at its finest along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail at our annual Mardi Gras event.  It’s all about the beads and this year everyone will receive a specialty prize to help with the festivities. Check your Scavenger Hunt card number as you visit each winery.  The Scavenger Hunt will continue so make sure to figure out the clues or riddles to win a sampler case of fine wines from the trail.
At your starting point winery you’ll receive a wine glass, wine and food pairings and recipe cards at each winery plus those incredible beads.

Make sure to hand in your ticket to be eligible to win one of our Grand Prizes.

Olde-Tyme Rhubarb Festival & Classic Car Cruise-In
June 7, 2014 12-4pm

Step back in time with Montezuma Winery & Hidden Marsh Distillery as we celebrate the rhubarb harvest season with our 7th Annual Olde-Tyme Rhubarb Festival & Classic Car Cruise-In.  Visitors will enjoy rhubarb specialties, while sampling some of the most unique fruit, grape and honey wines and spirits in the Finger Lakes.

Refreshments include hots & hamburgers, salt potatoes, rhubarb chili, fresh rhubarb, rhubarb pies, rhubarb crisp, frozen wine slushies and of course wine! 

If you’re looking for some rhubarb fun, play to win at the rhubarb stalk throw or enter the hula hoop contest. Take a stroll down memory lane viewing some of the classic cars of the “good old days” on display. The Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest is a celebration of all things wine.  Our event’s main focus is highlighting the wonderful wineries to be found in the Hudson Valley and all over New York.  As a NY Farm market, the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest offers New York wineries the opportunity to sell wine by the bottle, thus offering a marvelous opportunity for our guests to purchase the state’s finest wines directly from the winery.

We often have a few select international wines and liquors represented for our guests who like to explore beyond NY. Another highlight of the event is the fact that many of the grape growers and wine makers are in attendance.  This offers a fantastic chance for oenophiles to really learn about the wine and ask questions of the people responsible for creating it.Dutchess County Fairgrounds


Harvest Hoedown

Kick up your heels and dance to the sounds of old fashioned country fiddlin’ music as we celebrate the harvest season. Fall is upon us and it’s a perfect time to get out and see the beautiful fall foliage that New York State has to offer plus savor the foods of the season.

Activities include a lip-smacking Chicken & Pork BBQ, a farm market of local seasonal produce, local honey & maple products, baked goods, hand-popped kettle corn, home-made fudge and of course wine!

There’s fun for the kids including a petting zoo and more. Get your pumpkins for decorating this fall season. Free admission (fee for food and wine by the glass).

tradition for more than 30 years, the main street of Remsen is transformed this weekend into a venue for more than 250 crafters, food vendors and wineries.
